Fundraising

Why should my club plan a fundraiser?

Planning a successful fundraiser can be challenging but also very rewarding! As a Rotary Club, you are always looking for new and exciting ways to raise funds for your important projects within your community or internationally. Rotary Club’s around the world have found unique ways to raise funds to bring in the necessary financial support to complete the humanitarian projects that are so important in thousands of cites all over the world.

You may be able to pay for your project entirely through fundraising events. These events will not only help you raise money for your project, but also spread awareness for Rotary and The Rotary Foundation.

My Club is ready to plan a fundraiser, what's next?

Here is plenty of inspiration to get you started. Whether it's a large or small event involving your community, friends, family or just about anyone, you can find something to suit every Club.

Congratulations to the 2020-2021 District and Club Leaders!
On 6/28, District Governor (DG) Julie Dobski passed the gavel to incoming DG Mike Step (Paris Club). Heather Stoa (Decatur Club) was installed as DG Elect & Connie Walsh (Champaign Club) was installed as DG Nominee. Club Presidents from the District's 52 clubs (48 clubs + 4 Rotaract clubs) were also installed. District committee & subcommittee chairs also took the oath to serve. The event was held on ZOOM, and Nolan Longest of Paris Rotary Club served as MC. The invocation and much of the special music was provided by people known to our new DG, Mike. Video support was provided by Joe Palma (BN Family Rotary) and his company, Palma Entertainment. Our new DG, Mike, presented PDG Julie Dobski with a beautiful piece of glass art that symbolized her Rotary year theme of "Rotary Connects the World." A video of the installation is available for viewing on the District 6490 YouTube Channel.
